Northern Counties Dachshund Association Championship Show 2018 Miniature Longs
I wish to
pass on my sincere thanks to the very hard-working officers and
committee working in very trying circumstances. Holding back to back
shows takes planning and when you are at the mercy of the bigger
show many issues are beyond control. I congratulate you on running
this happy show. Thanks to my brilliant steward running between
rings, and exhibitors for their patience and remaining jolly
throughout.
I have been away from the rings for a couple of years so had a fresh pair of eyes not knowing the latest fashion. All were
clean and well-presented aside from a few dirty teeth which really
is avoidable. Temperaments were excellent, taking into consideration
the weather which affected some younger ones making them a little
edgy on the table, I can totally forgive a good dog having a bad
day.
Coat distracted a little from an otherwise sound well put together chap. Good head, shoulders, ribbing and quarters. Shorter coupled than some but covered the ground well.
Correctly constructed youngster, Well-proportioned head correct length of muzzle, good shoulders, excellent front assembly, held firm top and underline, nice angulation at rear, moved steadily holding his shape at all times. promising baby. BPD 2nd: BRACE Xemxija Ice Warrior Well-made Puppy, excellent pigmentation, good bone, plenty of ribbing and good rear angulation. Needs to grow into his head a little and gain confidence.
Was
unsettled by the wind but did settle much better in the second class
and was very worthy of his placings
Taller type

Gleaming condition,So confident, truly a dachshund in miniature, excellent head and eye, reachy neck, correct shoulder placement, nice tight elbows, sweeping underline, ample ribbing, strong topline. Not exaggerated in any area. He is arrogant and showy driving around the ring. I hope he reaches the top soon as he will truly be a great asset to the breed. Loved his head and expression, correct front assembly, firm topline, excellent ribbing and hindquarters. Very hard to fault. I like his size which will prove a bonus with some of the girls on the circuit. I really had to deliberate hard between him and his kennel mate as they are both top drawer, I just went with my own personal preference on the day. RCC to a worthy champion. 2nd: WAY Sudasam Livin the Dream
